Leave A Facebook Group

The existence and functionality of most Facebook groups are time limited. When a group does not serve the purpose for which it was intended anymore, members just make an exit. Keep reading as I guide you on how to leave a Facebook group.



How to Leave A Facebook Group
Mobile Devices

Open your Facebook app.
Click the menu bar on the bottom right corner (iOS) or top right corner (Android).
Scroll through the options to find and select Groups.
Tap the group which you intend to leave.
Tap Joined below the group's cover photo.
Select Leave Group.
Tap Leave Group again when prompted.

Desktop

Visit the Facebook website to login to your account.
Click Groups on the left hand side.
Click the name of the group which you intend to leave.
Tap on the settings gear to the right of the group.
Select Leave Group.
If you don't want other people in the group to be able to add you back to the group, check the "Prevent other members from adding you back to this group" box before continuing.
Tap Leave Group from the pop up menu.
