I cannot delete my notifications.. there is no shaded "X" to delete any of my no on facebook
You can't turn off notifications on Facebook, but you can decide what notifications you get and how.
To adjust your Notifications setting:
1- Click at the top-right corner and select Settings.
2- Click Notifications on the left. You can adjust what types of Notifications to get on Facebook.

Keep in mind that if the notification is from an app, you can block the app.
